Acrylic painting on 22”x28” canvas, original creation by Julius von Brunk.

This started as an acrylic paint pour with red, pink, and white paint mixed with Floetrol Flood to create the swirl effect. For the reference image, I took several screencaps of the Simpsons episode “A Milhouse Divided” and then combined them together in Photoshop to get a more dynamic image of Kirk Van Houten singing. Then I used a projector to paint white primer of the shape of Kirk onto the paint pour canvas, and then used a pencil to go over the basic line art. Eventually I filled in the colors with acrylic paint and added multiple layers of paint for the shadow and highlight effect.
