“The future depends on thee, Link. . . Thou art courageous.”

Quick little sculpture of young Link, notably as seen in the Nintendo 64 game Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This was merely intended to be a small bobble similar to Funko POP, but I kept increasing the size of the model to make him more game-accurate. Don’t get me wrong: I’m no soyboy in any capacity, and I personally think Funkos are lame as balls – but I wanted to just try something different for a change. Some of the major issues with this LEGO MOC were the the shoulders, arms, and hat. The arms were actually revised several times, especially at the last minute, as the original arms/shoulders were too weak to hold the shield.

Below are the accessories for Link, close up. These were built last, and were used mainly for the photo shoot. The Deku Shield design took a while to create, and I finally settled with the uneven tile pattern to give the effect of a wood carving.
