These are some LEGO Space shots that I took in early 2015, testing out my various camera lenses and experimenting with depth-of-field.

In a perfect world, I would have been born 20 years sooner, so that I could’ve been a product photographer for LEGO Group during the heyday of the late 1980s. In the meantime, this will have to do: my own recreating of box art styles with vintage pieces/minifigures, modern camera equipment, and a celestial pillow case in lieu of a matte painting background.

Although Classic Space and the subsequent Futurons were intended to be civilians with no established heroes/villains until the introduction of Blacktron vs. Space Police, I’d often imagine the astronauts as being somewhat Star Trek esque. The yellow ones are engineers, the blue ones are scientists/doctors, the red ones are space marines, and the black ones are spacecraft pilots!
