I initially intended to have a more elaborate setup with a full scene of one of the levels from Mortal Kombat, but just decided to save time and take the photo in front of a cloudy effect. I achieved the cloudy effect by pointing a rotating party bulb towards a dark red cloth, which blurred together with the aperture and shutter speed.
