Based on my previous version of the electronic DL-44 blaster from Star Wats, this revised LEGO model uses its own custom circuit board with a microcontroller that I programmed with Arduino. Like its predecessor, this project was tempered with its fair share of difficulties and stressful troubleshooting during its construction — especially since I had to teach myself how to write code with Arduino. The frame is the same as the previous Mk.1 design, only slightly adjusted, such as some changes in the gun’s handle and magazine to house the sound box and batteries. This revised creation was built and released in summer 2014.
