A screenshot from my LEGO Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland video. I was animating the hookah-smoking Caterpillar scene throughout July, which was wrapped up by the end of the month.

To achieve the effect of a small Alice, I built giant flowers and blades of grass in the scenery. This new Caterpillar puppet is my most articulated character to date, and has several movable joints for fluid animation. His speech and mannerisms are based off my abusive stepfather named Guy, who smoked heavily in our house and tormented my sisters and me by not allowing us to eat for long periods of time. These personal references will be shown within the plot of this particular scene.
